"...a true testament to the breadth of talent that is constantly emerging from South London." ~ Stamp The Wax
Joe Armon-Jones & Maxwell Owin are forces to be reckoned with. Both integral parts of the London underground scene, these young musicians contribute to numerous outfits as well as pushing their own solo projects.
After the success of their 2017 multi-genre spanning release Idiom, both Armon-Jones and Owin have gone on to extremely successful careers. They have produced, written and collaborated with the likes Tony Allen and Hugh Masekela, Poppy Ajudha and Mahalia, Moses Boyd, Chaos in the CBD, Oscar Jerome, Nubya Garcia and MC Pinty, among many others. Armon-Jones has had two successful solo album releases, including Turn To Clear View (co-produced with Owin), which was named by TIME Magazine as one of the Top 10 Albums of 2019, and a worldwide hit album You Can’t Steal My Joy with Ezra Collective. Owin has had continued success with collaborative projects, including the Arts Council funded Extra Soul Perception and a new label, Sibin.
Having been compared to artists like Floating Points, Harvey Sutherland, 4hero and Moodymann all in the same breath, and already having played at Kala Festival, Printworks, Dimensions Festival and Cross the Tracks, this is an accomplished duo consisting of the most exciting young talent in London right now.
