Peter Sandberg

Peter Sandberg

Inspired by the disparity between the idyllic Scandinavian landscape and the complex narratives and emotions of modern life, Peter Sandberg’s music is deeply intimate, soothing and cleansing.

Peter Sandberg is a Swedish neo-classical and electronic multi-instrumentalist/composer, who has established international reputation, creating music for television and commercials, as well as amassing over 330 million streams worldwide. From an early age, Sandberg was described to have an “undrainable source of energy”, channelling his restlessness into the piano, where he honed stillness and calmness into his composition, which is so evidently reflected through his production today. His honesty speaks through his muted tones, but also through his uplifting melodies and driving rhythms.

First releasing his music in 2015, the ‘scaled down’ EP Blue Brook, his compositions were predominantly piano-based, but since, Sandberg has experimented and pushed the boundaries of his musical influence and talent. Incorporating further forms of electronic instrumentation into his production, Peter has built a diverse, rich and atmospheric catalogue, and as a result, built a devoted fanbase worldwide.

Signing to London-based ambient/post-classical label Phases Records in 2018, Peter released his debut album Motion in March 2019 to critical acclaim. The album featured the single ‘Motion’, as well as ‘Deep’, which featured in an emotional and climactic scene of Stranger Things Season 3. Peter has further scored commercials for major brands such as Volvo, Tesla and Vox, and having packed out live shows in major cities such as Istanbul and London last year, 2020 is set to be another exciting year for the composer, as he continues to work on creating his hugely anticipated second LP.

His recent single with UK alt-pop group Arctic Lake, ‘Unhold Me’, was released on 19th March 2020.
